Five kinds of work. All of it on a meter.
This is the order Mesa calls come in. Panels first, because a lot of houses east of Power Road still run on the 100-amp service they were built with, and an induction range plus a car charger will not both fit on it.

01
Most panel swaps in Mesa are one working day. The wait is for the utility and the city inspector, not us, and we book both.

A 48-amp charger goes on a 60-amp breaker. That's the code, not our opinion. The load calc comes first, and you see the numbers.

Wafer LEDs cut into existing drywall, fans hung on fan-rated boxes, and landscape lighting that survives a July monsoon.

If your breaker trips every time the AC and the dryer run together, the breaker is doing its job. The circuit is the problem.

Suites, small retail and office fit-outs built to the drawings, with permit fees shown as their own line on the quote.
Commercial details
Done to code. Inspected by
Schedule 40 PVC at 18 inches of cover, a sweep at the wall, and the trench stays open until the inspector has looked down it. Caliche does not care how hard you swing the pick, so we rent the trencher.
How a job runs, start to inspection.
Nothing gets ordered before step two is signed. Nothing gets closed up before step four is passed.

Site visit
We look at the panel, the meter, the run and the attic. Bus rating, breaker brand, what's already double-tapped. We photograph the label on the panel door because that tells us what breakers it will legally take.
-
02
Written scope
One document. Breaker sizes, wire gauge and type, conduit, the permit, who calls SRP or the City of Mesa utility, and what is not included. Stucco patching and drywall repair are either on the list or marked as yours.
-
03
Permit & work
We pull the permit and do the work. Same person who quoted it. If the walls open up something the scope didn't cover, like a cloth-insulated splice buried in the attic, you hear about it and get a price before we go further.

Inspection
The City of Mesa inspector signs it off, or tells us what to change, and we change it at no charge. Service work needs the utility to set the meter again after that. You get the finished panel schedule written out by hand, legibly.
- 200A service
- 6 AWG copper
- NEMA 14-50
- City of Mesa permit
- 60A breaker · 48A charger
- Fan-rated box
- EMT on strut
- Load calc on paper
- SRP disconnect booked by us
Who turns up, and what they bring.
A small family crew run by the owner, who still pulls wire himself. No sales rep, no subcontracted crew arriving with a different idea of the job. Read more on the about page.
What you're paying for, line by line.
We don't publish a flat price for a panel or a charger, because two houses on the same street can be a day apart in labor. Here is exactly what moves the number.
What the estimate covers
- AMaterials, named. Panel make and bus rating, breaker types, wire gauge and whether it's copper or aluminum, conduit size.
- BLabor for the scope. A fixed figure, not an hourly meter running while we look for a stud finder.
- CPermit and inspection. We pull it. On commercial jobs the fee is its own line so your accountant can see it.
- DUtility coordination. Booking the SRP or City of Mesa utility disconnect and reconnect for service work.
- EClean-up and a labeled panel. Every breaker identified in writing. Not "lights" and "misc".
What changes the price
- 01Meter-main combo or separate panel. Many Mesa homes have the meter and main in one can. Replacing that is a bigger job than swapping an interior panel.
- 02Run length. A charger 6 feet from the panel and one 70 feet away across a finished garage ceiling are different quotes.
- 03Stucco and block. Cutting a new panel into stucco means a patch. We say whether we're doing it or you're hiring a plasterer.
- 04Attic access. A 14-inch scuttle over a closet shelf and a walk-up attic are not the same afternoon, especially in August.
- 05What we find. Recalled breakers, backstabbed outlets, an old splice with no box. Found items get priced separately, before work continues.
The questions people ask before they call.
Short answers. If yours isn't here, the phone is quicker than an email.
Do I actually need a 200-amp panel upgrade for an EV charger?
Often, no. Plenty of chargers fit on an existing 200A service once the load calculation is done properly. Some fit on a 100A service if the charger is turned down to 32 amps or a load-management device is added. We run the numbers in front of you and quote the cheaper job when the cheaper job works.
Is the free estimate really free?
For quoted work, yes: panels, chargers, lighting, commercial scopes. Troubleshooting is different. Finding a fault is the work itself, so it starts with a diagnostic visit, and then you get a written repair price before any repair starts.
Will you just add a breaker to my full panel?
Not by doubling up on a slot the panel isn't listed for, and not with a breaker brand the panel label doesn't allow. If there's genuinely no room we'll show you the options: tandem breakers where the panel permits them, a subpanel, or a service change.
Who is this not a good fit for?
Anyone who wants service or panel work done without a permit. Anyone looking for a crew to finish a half-done DIY job without opening it up first. And large ground-up commercial builds with a multi-trade schedule; we're sized for suites, tenant improvements and small retail.
